Calling all high school and middle school (grades 7-8) Color Guard students—come experience exceptional instruction in flag, rifle, saber, and dance from our outstanding BOA Summer Camp faculty! For over 40 years, Bands of America has set the gold standard in color guard and leadership training. Led by Division Coordinator Shannon Clark, the Color Guard Division is designed to empower students with the confidence and skills needed to lead and perform at the highest level. By building on each student’s unique talents and strengths, we ensure every camper stands out both on and off the field.

A Day in the Color Guard Division
  • Fitness – Start your day with an energizing warm-up and stretch to keep you active and ready for anything.
  • Movement Fundamentals – Master modern techniques for body movement and dance, guided by nationally renowned experts who make it fun and engaging.
  • Differentiated Instruction – Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, you’ll experience instruction tailored to your skill level in flag, rifle, and saber, ensuring you leave camp feeling stronger and more confident.
  • Equipment Fundamentals – Refine your technique with personalized feedback in sectionals, small groups, and large ensembles. You might even get the chance to try a new piece of equipment!
  • Master Class – Advanced students can audition for our Master Class, tackling advanced techniques and choreography at a fast pace. Placement is determined through on-site evaluations—no prep needed!
  • Carolina Crown Experience – Spend the day with the color guard members and staff of Carolina Crown! Watch them demonstrate, then join them in small-group sessions to learn from the best.
  • Immersive Leadership Activities – Build resilience, teamwork, and confidence through daily leadership sessions that challenge and inspire growth.
