Andrea Van Hof is Director of Bands at the Burris Laboratory School, housed on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Van Hof received her Bachelor’s of Music Education from Western Michigan University and her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University. Prior to her appointment at the Burris Laboratory School, Van Hof taught in upstate New York, Wisconsin, and Colorado. She recently presented a clinic at the Colorado Music Educator’s Association annual conference, and has been a guest speaker at Ball State concerning how to establish and build a private teaching studio. Her responsibilities at Burris include the direction of elementary and secondary instrumental music programs, collaboration with Ball State Music Education faculty and students, as well as teaching other arts-related courses. Her professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, Indiana Music Educators Association, the Indiana Bandmasters Association.
