Ian Grom

Ian Grom is a composer and educator based out of Southern California. He received his Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from California State University, Long Beach. His original compositions for both percussion and winds have been played by hundreds of ensembles worldwide.

As a percussion educator, Mr. Grom has an unprecedented 24 WGI medals since 2005. He is the front ensemble caption head at Chino Hills High School and Pulse Percussion. His nationally recognized former programs include: Pacifica, Los Alamitos and Fountain Valley High Schools.

In DCI, Mr. Grom was the electronics arranger for The Cadets from 2009-2012. In 2012, he joined forces with world-renowned composer Richard Saucedo at the Blue Stars.

He co-founded Box-Six.com with John Mapes, and it is the exclusive seller of their original indoor percussion and marching band shows.
