Sherry Reiss grew up in Arlington Heights, IL, and found her love of music at Prospect H.S. and the Metropolis Youth Symphony. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Saint Xavier University. She taught middle school band and orchestra in Skokie, IL before transitioning to Huntley, IL where she taught jazz band, concert band, and competitive marching band. Sherry currently teaches middle school band in Batavia, IL, where she started a clarinet choir and assists with the competitive marching band. Outside of the music classroom she plays tennis, travels with friends, and loves reading.
