Today, I had the pleasure of observing the Color Guard division of camp during their early morning rehearsal. I watched as campers, SWAGs, and educators worked on parts for their final performance on Saturday. Soon enough, it was getting close to lunch and the campers quickly made their way to Susie Harloff, Division Head. Campers had no idea what was in store for them.

Susie began to explain why there were so many boxes and new faces around. The campers began to cheer and applaud as Susie explained that DSI, a sponsor of Music for All, decided to surprise the color guard campers with some gifts! In each of the boxes, they had t-shirts, color guard gloves, rifles, and yellow flag silks to all of the campers. The campers let out a roar and round of applause. I don’t think I have seen so many excited faces in one place.

Baylee from Corner High School in Alabama says, “It is so nice to be rewarded for all of our hard work this week, it just makes me want to keep up the good work and work even harder.” Her friend Avery added, “I was so surprised!”

Director Showcase International is a proud sponsor of Music for All and we are thankful for this wonderful partnership with them. Thank you for all you do!
